Each year around 15,00 people visit the Arts center to participate in a expansive range of workshops and classes, view exhibitions of art, visit the Saturday Craft Market and check out the excellent range of art supplies at Left Bank Art Supplies. It is a shared work space where people can bring their own materials or use those provided. If you are looking for a venue in the heart of the Whanganui’s Creative Riverfront precinct, the Arts center exhibition spaces and Ada Room are fully close and available for hire at a very plausible cost. Originally a disused Fresh Zealand Railways bus garage, the Arts center was established in 1989 to produce a venue for artists and craftspeople to exhibit and sell their work. The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. We present a series of courses, workshops and notable interest groups where members are encouraged to flourish their confidence and competence in vogue and emerging technologies.
