Ag Challenge began as a small farm training programme on the Director’s property in 1984 and has now progressed to three sites along No 3 Line and Kaimatira Road, Whanganui. Ag Challenge is now a leading provider in tertiary education and covers a wide range of courses. New Zealand Qualifications Authority NZQA Registered and Accredited Training Centre. All Ag Challenge programmes work towards New Zealand Certificates based on NZQA unit standards which have been written for industry.
The experienced staff at Ag Challenge have industry qualifications and programmes are designed with the aim of up skilling students for employment in the field of their choice. Carpentry Base No 3 Line, Whanganui Agricultural Base Kaimatira Road, Whanganui. Ag Challenge run Carpentry, Agriculture and Animal Care STARs, Gateway and Dual Pathway programmes in conjunction with the regions schools. Students that complete Unit Standards at this level receive an excellent head start towards gaining a New Zealand Certificate in the field of their choice and can continue on with one of our full time programmes.
